Attorney William D. Block joined Stippich, Selin & Cain in an of-counsel capacity to assist the firm with their estate planning practice in the spring of 2016.
In addition to his of-counsel work with Stippich, Selin & Cain, Will is the owner of Block Legal Services, LLC, a firm in the City of Brookfield. His practice focuses on family law, estate planning, and probate, helping clients navigate through will and trust challenges, custody and placement disputes, legal separation, and divorce. As much as possible, he helps his clients and their families avoid conflicts through comprehensive estate planning, probate-avoidance techniques, powers of attorney, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. His approach is to limit emotionally draining and expensive legal battles while assuring that his clients’ interests are protected.
Before opening his own practice and joining Stippich, Selin & Cain, Will worked at several other firms in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties and focused his practice on estate planning and divorce. Will received his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2010. He focused his legal education on estate planning, dispute resolution, mediation, and restorative justice. While at Marquette, he founded and served as the President of the Restorative Justice Society. He also served on the boards of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Society and the Client Skills Board. He was inducted into the Pro Bono Society with high honors for outstanding volunteer involvement with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and the Milwaukee Foreclosure Mediation Program. He also mediated small claims disputes at the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
Will received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in 2005 with a triple major in English Composition, Philosophy, and Comparative Theology. He lives in Wauwatosa with his wife and three children.
